What is the use of mountain resin for a Person?

Folk and alternative medicine use Shilajit for its useful properties, taking into account all contraindications. But traditional medicine is in no haste to include Shilajit in ordinary therapy, but as well it does not deny the beneficial effect of this substance on the body. What is the benefit for a human in such a difficult to dig up substance:
– helps the body resist viruses, infections, and bacteria;

– tannins, zinc, calcium, magnesium and fatty acids have anti-inflammatory effects;
– benefits of application for external disinfection of open wounds and internal disinfection of the body;
– it has the ability to remove local pain syndromes;
– improving cellular metabolism and the production of a larger amount of collagen leads to the use of balsam of Mumio in cosmetology.
All these medicinal properties of Shilajit help to get rid of a whole list of diseases, subject to the use of basic medications prescribed by the doctor. The benefits of the Shilajit for the body are expressed in the effect on each organ and cell, revitalizing the person as a whole.

Contraindications to use Shilajit

Despite conflicting comments from some experts, Shilajit is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation; this recommendation is due to the fact that the product’s effects on human embryos have not been studied.
Of course, the Shilajit is not used if you are allergic to any its ingredients.
In case of cancer it is recommended by some healers to apply ointment and compression onto skin and joint forms. This is also controversial; there are several comments that the Mumio does NOT help in cases of cancer. Alcohol is absolutely contraindicated at the time of treatment or prophylaxis with Shilajit.

Side effects of Shilajit

THIS IS IMPORTANT! Shilajit is a very complex product that actively interferes with the physiological and biochemical mechanisms of the brain, immune responses, functions of the glands of internal and external secretion, hematopoietic and digestive organs.
Mumio can also increase iron levels, so people with diseases such as hemochromatosis (excess iron in the blood) should avoid taking the supplement.
Shilajit can change the body’s hormone levels. A study published in Andrologia in 2016, for example, said that Shilajit supplements taken twice a day for 90 days increase levels of total testosterone, free testosterone, and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA-S).
As shown by numerous experimental and clinical studies, effect occurs from taking of minimum doses  5-10 mg.
The effect of the product is most clearly expressed when administered orally at the rate of 1.5-2 mg/kg of weight. In all cases, when the Shilajit is administered in large doses – from 0.3 to 1 g or more 2-3 times a day, cases of the toxic effect on the body are noticed.
These reactions can be local and general. When taken orally, as a result of local action of the medicine, diarrhea or semi-liquid stool may occur in the body. Moreover, there may be side effects associated with its general effect, most often manifested in the form of various nervous disorders: insomnia, superficial sleep, increased excitability, irritability, convulsive twitching of the limbs, heart palpitations, etc.
Some patients, engaged in self-treatment, drip a concentrated solution of Mumio (20 -50 %) in the eye, middle ear or wound, mixing the Shilajit with undiluted alcohol. In this case, there are quite severe side effects associated with the local irritating effect of high concentrations of Shilajit or solvent (alcohol).
In recent years, there have been separate reports in scientific journals about the toxic effects of Shilajit.
This is how cases of chronic poisoning by Shilajit are described, when the patient randomly used large doses of the product – 0.4 g 3 times a day. During first days of taking Mumio caused a mental disorder, manifested in complex symptoms: insomnia, excitement, dry skin, tachycardia, fluctuations in blood pressure.
After stopping taking Shilajit and using detoxification therapy in within the period of 7 days, the mental disorders completely disappeared. There were no relapses. According to the author, the cause of these disorders was associated with the toxic effect of mumio.
There are cases when a patient with a diagnosis of chronic purulent epithympanitis, for two days instilled in the ear a concentrated extract of Shilajit, diluted in alcohol to reduce the pain. As a result of this action, the patient had severe inflammation of the outer and middle ear. After removing the adhesive mass, washing the middle ear and conducting anti-inflammatory therapy, the ear pain disappeared, hearing was restored, and the patient was discharged in a satisfactory condition.
These examples show that the use of Shilajit should be taken seriously, in each case, consulting with experts.
The drug in the form of solutions and tablets is not recommended for use by pregnant and nursing women. You can only use it as an ointment.

How do you know that the Shilajit is not a fake?

Unfortunately, those who want to feel the healing power of the Shilajit on their body, buyers of many online stores risk spending money on a fake product. How can I tell whether it’s a real Shilajit or a fake? The authenticity of the product can be determined by the following features:
– The Shilajit is always painted in a dark color – brown or black.
– The surface of the product, especially after cleansing, is glossy. Even a newly assembled Shilajit looks polished.
– The smell of Shilajit vaguely resembles oil, but always very faint.
– Put a piece of natural Shilajit on the palm, even if it looks like a stone it begins to soften.
– A piece of Shilajit dipped in water dissolves without a trace.
– The taste of natural Shilajit is bitter, without the presence of acid, has an astringent flavour not showing any trace of sweetness.
If even one of the points doesn’t match, it means it is either a product of very poor quality, which will not benefit the body, or a trivial fake.

Safety certificate for heavy metals and bacteria

Studies indicate the Shilajit consumption without preliminary purification may lead to risks of intoxication given the presence of mycotoxin, heavy metal ions, polymeric quinones (oxidant agents), and free radicals, among others. Therefore, a purified, ready-for-use preparation for human consumption must be used. Shilajit and other Indian manufactured products commercialized by the Internet may contain detectable heavy metals levels as lead, mercury, and arsenic.

Our Shilajit is tested in independent labs to make sure contaminants like PCB’s, furans, heavy metals and dioxins are below the limits defined by European Union and California Proposition 65.

Our product, Natural Shilajit, does not exceed California Prop 65 limits for safety, the strictest limits on earth. It’s even far more strict than Federal limits. However, vegetables and fruits are exempt from Prop 65 since they can’t possibly pass. Our Shilajit Resin is very safe.

Conclusion

Shilajit is a potent and safe dietary supplement, potentially able to prevent several diseases.  Considering the expected impact of Shilajit applications in the medical field, more investigations and certainly well-developed clinical trials are necessary to be conducted in order to understand how active principles of Shilajit act at molecular and cellular levels on human.
